FREE  Distribution in New York and New Jersey
FAIL (the browser should render some flash content, not this).
Central to the plans of the publishing company Steady Media Group, Inc. is the strategically important task of putting out a line of specialized color magazines of high graphic quality, free for those living in the New York and New Jersey area, along with dedicated websites and full electronic versions of these magazines.

Creating a single control center for all these projects, coordinating them, and developing an overall strategy for them is the job of Peter Vingardt and Michael Mirochnik, partners with a solid background in publishing.

At present, Steady Media Group, Inc. (SMG) has three products in its portfolio:
  • the monthly magazine ALL ABOUT HOME, covering the needs of people involved in home improvement, with a monthly print run of 45,000 copies, the interactive website www.AAHmag.com, and a full electronic version in virtual magazine format;
  • a monthly supplement to the above, REAL ESTATE EXPO, covering the interests of those who wish to sell or buy real estate, in a full electronic version, which can be viewed in virtual magazine format at www.AAHmag.com;
  • the monthly magazine TONUS, addressed to women and men who wish to dress fashionably, look good, improve and maintain their health, improve their outlook and raise their quality of life, with a per-issue run of 45,000 copies, the interactive site www.Tonusmag.com, and a full electronic version in virtual magazine format.
  • Digital delivery of a magazine is a fundamentally new stage in publications development, making a much wider readership possible. In our case, since all our magazines are FREE, the increase in readership is potentially without limits. Using the program offered by APPLE, we have made our magazines available to thousands and thousands of visitors to APPLE stores all over the country. In addition, we offer free sign-up for email delivery of the electronic versions of the magazines. Taking these steps has essentially made our regional publications national ones. The new format brings much faster distribution, and with it a much higher profile and popularity.

    We expect digital subscription to these special-interest magazines to be in active demand among readers: despite substantial print runs, all our widely popular magazines run out fairly quickly at the distribution points, and can't meet the demand of all who would like to have each new issue in their homes. We think the digital magazines will appeal to productive users who already have iPads and/or iPhones. Then they will always have their favorite magazine at hand, at lunch breaks, in their cars, on vacation, when flying. We hope that the electronic versions of our magazines will also be highly valued by advertisers, especially since ads they place in them will be able to include video and multimedia.

    The electronic versions of our magazines are available for viewing and reading online within a week before the print editions come out. They all have active menus; online references in text and in ad layouts become active links, and readers can bookmark important pages, search on keywords, and click through to advertisers' sites.

    All who are interested can go online and quickly and easily sign up for free delivery of any of the magazines, to begin receiving each new issue on their computers, iPads and iPhones.
